About Off The Grid Food
Our Mission
Off The Grid Food was created to make it easier for people living in Glasgow and across Scotland to find food that is grown without pesticides, herbicides, artificial fertilisers or genetic modification.
We believe that the way food is grown matters — for our health, for the health of the soil, and for the ecosystems that surround us. Chemical farming might produce cheaper food in the short term, but at a real cost to our environment and our bodies.
Scotland has a growing community of dedicated farmers, growers and food producers who are choosing a different path. Our goal is to connect these producers with the people who want to support them.
What We Do
- Maintain an up-to-date directory of organic and chemical-free producers near Glasgow and across Scotland
- Write guides and articles about eating locally, seasonally and sustainably
- Highlight farmers’ markets and community food events in the Glasgow area
- Help consumers understand what organic and pesticide-free certifications actually mean
Our Values
🌱 Chemical-Free First
We only list producers who grow without synthetic pesticides or herbicides.
📍 Local & Scottish
We focus on producers in Glasgow, the Central Belt and Scotland.
🤝 Community Driven
We rely on community knowledge to keep our directory growing.
🔍 Transparent
We verify every listing and are clear about what “organic” means for each producer.
